HELP FROM ABOVE
Hear the word of God from Psalm 121 vs. 1-2
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth.
The above scripture tells us that the only place to set our eyes when we need help is heaven and unto God, Who dwells on high. If we set our eyes on any man or elsewhere, we will be disappointed. The arms flesh will fail whosoever trust in them.
(Jeremiah 17 vs. 5-6). Psalm 20 vs. 7-8
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. [8] They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.”
This informs us that whatever the circumstances, we should look up to God for help. In every situation we find ourselves, we should not hesitate to turn to God and seek help from above for solutions because He is the only One Who can help us without looking back.
As a Christian, when you need help, the first and the only place to look up to is heaven where God sits and rules in the affairs of men on earth.(Daniel 4 v 17) Looking up to the hills, according to today’s scripure, is acknowledging that God is able to render whatever help we requested from Him without seeking for the opinion of man.
We should not be ignorant of the fact that when men rise to help us, it’s God in action because we can not receive anything except it’s given to us from above(John 3 v 27) So when we look up to God, He can send help to us through men (1Chronicles 12 vs. 16-18, 21-22 & 38-40)
As CELESTIANS, our Hymn confirms and supports the above scripture to set our trust in God in CELESTIAL. CCC Hymn 529: Esteblish your faith in the Lord in this Celestial fold, Celestial church the only one, where Jesus Christ abides, My heart longs to abide with the Lord always/2ce.( Yor: Gbeke re le Oluwa ninu ijo Mimo yi/2ce. Ijo Mimo nla kan ni, nibi ti Kristi wa. Okan mi nfe nigbagbogbo lati ba Oluwa gbe/2ce.
In conclusion, Brethren, it’s expedient to know that it is only God that can help us beyond our expectations and without being tired. Ephesians 3 v 20 states, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
Father, thank You for being our help and sustainance. I pray that as we look up to you for all our needs. You will come through for us and meet us at the very point of our needs. We receive grace to look up to God for all things in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
Have a pleasant weekend ahead.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
