INCREASE ON EVERY SIDE
We thank God for the grace to be counted among the living souls to witness this beautiful week. May His grace continue to abound towards us.
Hear the word of God from Jeremiah 29 vs. 5 – 6
Build ye houses, and dwell in them ; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; [6] Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, àand give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
It’s the will of God for man to reproduce, multiply, and increase right from creation. Genesis 1 v 28 says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
Today’s text shows that God’s desire for His people is to increase on every side and multiply exceedingly. Jeremiah 29 v 6 “Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.”
As CELESTIANS, Our Hymn confirms God’s promise to multiply, fruitful, increase, and be blessed exceedingly as in the creation(Genesis 1 v 28). CCC Hymn 407, Come be with us, and bless us all, the Holy King. Rain down thy blessings upon us. And to replenish and to increase in Celestial. Halleluyah might be our song…….etc. Wa pelu wa, sure fun wa, Oba Mimo. Se ri’ bukun Re s’ ori wa. Ka ma bi si, ka ma re si, ni ijo Mimo. K’ Alleluya le j’orin wa. ——etc.
In conclusion, Brethren, I want you to know that God is mindful of His people; because of that, He promised to bless us and increase us and our children more and more (Psalm 115 vs. 12-14). Verse 14 says, “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.”
I pray that this new month and beyond, the promise of God for blessing, fruitfulness, and multiplication will not be in vain. We will begin to experience increase in all spheres of life in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
