WHAT EFFORT ARE YOU MAKING?

WHAT EFFORT ARE YOU MAKING?

WHAT EFFORT ARE YOU MAKING?

Hear the word of God from Luke 19 vs 1- 4
And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. [2] And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. [3] And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. [4] And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

When we look vividly into the above scripture, we will understand that Zacchaeus, though, was a man of little starture, but he desired to see Jesus and made sure he saw Him. He went as climbing on the sycomore tree so that he would see Jesus.

According to the scripture, we can see the efforts he put in before he could see Jesus. Firstly, he ran from where he was to where the tree was. Secondly, he climbed the tree to get a clear view of who Jesus is.

Children of God, what efforts should we put in to make sure our spiritual lives are always on the rise for God? And that our relationship with God grows stronger and deeper? Even as our faith rises higher in the Lord

I suggest that, on a daily basis, we should aspire to grow in the Spirit by building up ourselves Spiritually. And always set our affections on the things above, rather than the things beneath (Colossians 3 vs. 2 – 4)
As it helps our spiritual growth, it will also enhance our physical achievement in the pursuit of life.

The truth about this scripture is that there is no effort we put in in the course of our discipleship that goes unnoticed and unrewarded by the Lord. Luke 19 verse 5 tells us, “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.”

In conclusion,Brethren, I implore us not to relent in putting more effort in the things of God wherever we are, and also in our circular business and career because it will work for our good at the end. For God is not unrighteous that He should forget our labour of love(Romans 8 v 28, Hebrews 6 v 10, 11 v 6b)

I pray that in the course of our discipleship and in our lives, all our efforts and labour of love towards God and man will not go in vain. We will receive a bountiful reward in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

Have a fulfilled day.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
