And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. [37] But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. [38] And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
The word that came to us today gives us assurance that Jesus, though, was crucified, dead, and buried. He rose again from dead and lives forever. He never left His disciples as He had promised them before He departed(John 14 v18) I will not leave you fatherless, I will come to you.
We can see from the above scripture that Jesus appeared to His disciples and encouraged them not to be troubled. Luke 24 v 38
And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? He never left them comfortless, He always assured them of His peace and gave them the courage to remain strong.
Child of God, what is that challenge that troubles you? Or who is that powerful person that terrifies you? The Lord is encouraging you today to stop being terrified or troubled by any circumstance or situation around you. He has given us peace, and nothing should trouble us again. Luke 24 v 36 “And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”
AS CELESTIANS, the Lord encourages us through our Hymns not to be troubled. CCC Hymn 701
It is me thy Lord, fear not ye the world 2ce, fear not ye, CELESTIAL, fear not ye the world..etc.(Yoruba version)
Emi ni Oluwa mase beru aye2ce. Mase beru Ijo mimo, mase beru aye..etc.
In conclusion, Beloved Brethren, Jesus has not left us fatherless. We should not allow circumstances and the situation around us to take our peace. The Lord is alive to save and deliver us from the adversaries,
Philippines 1 v 28
“And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.”
I pray that as we continue the journey of life in this new month and in the remaining months of this year, the Lord will deliver us from every situation that is terrifying us and gives us peace and rest on all sides in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
Have a fruitful week.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
