PERSISTENCE PRAYER

PERSISTENCE PRAYER

We slept and woke to see the brightness of another day this new week because God preserved us. We bless God for His sufficient grace.

Jesus told us the parable of a poor widow and the unjust judge who didn’t fear God nor regard man. But there was a widow who desired help from this unjust judge who wasn’t ready to render the help nor show her mercy. However, by her persistence and continual coming, he granted her request. (Luke 18 vs. 1- 8a)

Though the judge didn’t fear God nor regard any man (Luke 18 v 4) Hear what the unjust judge said Luke 18 v 5 “Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.”

The lesson we must learn from the above scripture is that no matter the circumstances, we must not be tired or weary to continue to seek God’s face in prayer concerning our situations. It’s in our persistence that our requests will be granted unto us.

In CELESTIAL Church, prayer is our custom. Do not believe the lie of the devil that says we depend on spiritual works than we do in prayer. You can see the evidence in all of our services. Prayer by the service conductors, for forgiveness and thanksgiving respectively, three members prayers, silent prayer from all members during the service, prayer by service conductors over silent prayer. The seven elders prayers in our monthly new moon services, the closing prayer at the end of all services, and benediction from the Shepherd and other programs as scheduled in each parish. The mercy land was designed for every member to meet with the Lord to discuss any pressing issues. Any CELESTIAL member who is not grounded in prayer is just deceiving himself/ herself. Prayer is our lifestyle in CELESTIAL. Our CCC Hymn 431 testifies to that( Oluwa, awa omo re de la ti gbohun ebe wa si o…..(Our Lord, we thy Children have come, to bring all our request before thee etc.)

In conclusion, Beloved Brethren, don’t let’s be weary or give up in prayer and supplication to the Father concerning our hearts’ desires because at the appropriate time, we will reap the harvest of our prayers if we do not faint (Galatians 6 v 9, Jer 33 v 3, Ephesians 6 v 11).

Philippians 4 v 6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

James 5 v 16b tells us,
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Father, we thank You for the privilege to approach You in prayer and Your faithfulness in granting our requests. I pray that the grace and power not to be weary in the place of prayer rest upon us. In the remaining days of this year, may all our pending requests receive answers speedily in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

Have a pleasant week.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
