Welcome on board to this brand new year and month, we thank God for the privilege of life. We shall end the year safely by God’s grace.
Hear the word of God from Isaiah 43 v 19
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
What is A New Beginning It means a new thing, a fresh start, a new chance, grace and opportunity where you have the privilege to sit, think, organise and plan well to do that which you have left undone and make amends where you have made mistakes in the past.
A New Beginning for the children of God is the time and season of mercy, favour and compassion when God will look from His Throne and remember His Great Name and say I will restore your lost glory and bring back your captivity for my Name sake. By that time, everything will become new and perfect.
As CELESTIANS like every other Christian, The New Beginning for us is the time to take the issue of our destinies seriously and stay focused on God and His promises to us. Prioritise the worship and the things of God genuinely this year so that the promise does not slip off our hands. Revelation 3 v 11 “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (CCC Hymn 544: E je ka dipo Jesu Kristi mu, Ka mokan kuro ninu aniyan, Aiye ti yo fo lo. Solo: Ka la ri ‘gbala, Cr: Gbeke re le, gbeke le ‘fe re…etc. Eng: Let’s hold the pillar of the Lord Jesus….etc.)
Also, this new beginning will bring back and restore to us all the things we have lost due to mistakes, errors, carelessness, or challenges. Joel 2 v 25 says, “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
In conclusion, Dear Brethren, this a new year and month of the New Beginning, God is bringing us into a season where our captivity will be turned again like a dream. “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream” Psalm 126 v 1.
I pray that whatever we have lost due to mistakes or challenges in the previous year, the Lord will restore to us in multiple folds. Every opportunity we have lost or missed due to errors that have kept us back, the Lord will give us a better opportunity that will turn our lives around for good. God will make Year 2025 New and Fresh for us all through, and we will stand tall above every limitation in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
