We are alive to witness another beautiful day in this special season and the grace to be counted among the living souls today. May God’s name be highly praised.
Hear the word of God from
Isaiah 9 v 6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
This season, we are celebrating the birth of Jesus, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lord’s, who was born to reign and rule in the world. Today’s scripture says, “The government shall be in His shoulder.”
Government in this sense means power, authority, dominion over and above all and everything in heaven, on earth and beneth rest upon Him. It implies that Jesus was given power and authority over everything that exists in this world. all kingdoms of the earth, power, principality, and dominion are subjected to Him. Mathew 28 v 18
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
1 Corinthians 15 v 27 also testifies, “For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him.”
CCC Hymn 72 testifies that Jesus is the Reigning King, whom we must reference, worship, and subject to.

However, we are to understand that in reigning and ruling as the King on earth, His government is for everlasting, and His kingdom is established in justice and righteousness. This means that He came to judge the people in righteousness and truth. Psalms 72 v 2 “He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.”
In conclusion, as Christians, we are aware that all mankind is under the leadership and the rulership of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah. Whether believers or non-believers, Jesus is Lord over all. Colossians 1 v 16 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” Hence, if you’re not BORN AGAIN, this is the opportunity for you to give your life to Jesus and surrender yourself under His RULERSHIP. John 3 v 16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ. I pray that as we subject ourselves to His government and rulership, may the Lord continue to rule over our lives and affairs unto eternal justification in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
Compliments of the season.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
