We are numbered among the living today because God kept us alive. We bless God for the gift of life.
Hear the word of God from
John 11 vs 5-6, 11, 21, 25
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. [6] When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. [11] These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. [21] Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. [25] Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
The record from the above scripture tells us that when Lazarus was sick, his sisters sent for Jesus so that He would come to heal him. But Jesus waited for two days after he died before He came.
When Jesus came, Martha met Him on the way with a sorrowful heart. “Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.” John 11 v 21
John 11 v 25 says, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
This scripture is teaching us how to be strong in our faith walk with God and know that Jesus’ delay does not mean the end of Lazarus’ case. Rather, it gives us the assurance that delay is not a denial no matter the circumstances. That your marriage is delayed does not mean you will not get married. That you are delayed to give birth does not mean you will not carry your baby or that you graduated, and there no job yet does not mean that you will not be fixed. God might be delaying you to clear obstacles from your ways so that your miracles will be permanent. No matter how terrible the situations, remember that your delay is never a denial! When Jesus steps in, there will be turnaround in your situations.
As CELESTIANS, I want us to know that God has not called us in a place where our prayers can not be answered. We just need to be strong in faith as we wait patiently for our challenges to be fixed. CCC Hymn 538, I Cling to the great robe of Jesus, I will never let off the great robe……( Mo ro mo ewu nla ti Jesu, emi ko ni f’ewu na sile…)
In conclusion, Brethren, I encourage you today to have this assurance that whatever you have been praying for and every expectation you have been waiting for do not give up. Let your faith be intact, and be rest assured that every delay will be turned around for speedy fulfilment by the power of resurrection. Habakkuk 2 v 3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Father, I thank You because You are the resurrection and the life and nothing is impossible with You. I pray that in the remaining days of this month and beyond by the power of resurrection, every dead dream and expectation shall be quickened into speedy fulfilment. Every delay shall roll away, and our hearts’ desires shall be fulfilled in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
Have a fruitful week.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
