SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM

SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM

We are witnessing today because God sustains us. We appreciate God’s sustaining power over us.

Hear the word of God from Luke 12 vs 29 – 31
“And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. [30] For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. [31] But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

This is the teaching of JESUS to the multitude when they gathered around Him to hear from Him. He opened His mouth and taught them a lot of things.

At a point in His teaching, Jesus directed His speech to His disciples so that they would understand that Christianity is not about meat and raiment alone. See vs 22 – 28 of today’s scripture. In the above scripture, He warned the disciples to be careful so that they do not allow their needs to override them so much that they would lose focus on the purpose of their faith.

The same applies to us as Christians today, we should be aware of our positions as believers in this world not to allow our needs and desires to take over our faith and make us lose focus of where we are going at the end of our sojourn on this planet earth.

I want us to realize that God has a good plan for us, and He will not deny us any of our hearts’ desires we are looking unto Him for. Our expectations shall be fulfilled at the appointed time of God(Jer. 29 v 11, Isaiah 60 v 22 , Ps. 84 v 11)

Jeremiah 29 v 11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

This is the confidence we have that when we seek God’s Kingdom first above every other thing, surely every of our needs shall be met. Math 6 v 33.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

As CELESTIANS, let’s ensure our faith is not based on what we could gain from God but rather to be on the confidence that whatever we desire from God, with our worship, pure heart and clean hands He will grant us above what we ask or think. (Psalm 24 vs. 3-5, Ephesians 3 v 20 (CCC Hymns 878, Halleluyah our joy cometh, Angeles from heaven descending………(Halleluyah ayo wa mbo….)

I pray that whatever we are looking up to God for, the Lord most gracious will meet us at the very point of our needs quickly and speedily. Whatever our hearts desires, the Lord will grant us according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We shall not lose focus on our eternal home in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!

Have a fruitful week.
Stay blessed.
JESUS IS LORD!
