WISDOM IS PROFITABLE

We thank God for the gift of life to see the mid week in this month. May we continue to enjoy God’s goodness.

Hear the word of God from
Ecclesiastes 10 v 10c. But wisdom is profitable to direct.

Wisdom is a treasure that everyone who gets it has gotten something more than gold. No wonder the scripture lays more evamphasis to the possession of wisdom. James 1 v 5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

This implies that wisdom is more important to desire than riches. Our text tells us, “But wisdom is profitable to direct.” Ecclesiastes 10v10c

The essence of this is that for our lives to be directed into the right direction and for us to succeed and live a peaceful life, we need wisdom. The value of wisdom is unquantifiable. Wisdom will help to make the right decisions that will lead to peace and happiness and achieve good success in all endeavours (Proverbs 3 vs.13,17-18)

Proverbs 3 v 13 “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.”

CCC Hymn 406 stanzer 4 tells us to desire wisdom, like that of Solomon: Ogbon, Imo, Oye Re, gegebi ti Solomon, etc. English: Thy Wisdom, and thy knowledge, that Thou gave to Solomon, etc. Read and meditate on the song. It informs us how important “WISDOM” is to our lives!

In conclusion, Brethren, we should know that wisdom is greater than power. Getting wisdom is the best thing that can help us walk according to the plan and purpose of God for us. We need “WISDOM” to live a fulfilled life of purpose in all aspects.(Ecclesiastes 9 vs. 14 -16a).Verse.16a,”Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength:”

Ecclesiastes 9 v 18a
“Wisdom is better than weapons of war:”

Proverbs 4 v 7a
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom”

I pray that the Lord endow us with the wisdom we need to walk the journey of life successfully to fulfil God’s purpose for our lives. May we be guided in all wisdom and spiritual understanding into the path of success in all facets of life in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
